Good afternoon Interweb

My name is Isabella as you may already know. This is my first blog entry on our family page, I hope you enjoy it.

I have now been with my furrever family for 3 weeks and I have to admit that they are not too bad, after all.

Mom is in my face a lot of the time, with a camera, but she gives pretty good tummy rubs and she has this neat “brush” thing that reminds me of my mommy when she used to bath me. It makes me purr and she says I sound like I am making popcorn and tries to look for it by tickling my tummy. It’s kinda cute.

Dad is new to the world of felines and is sometimes not too sure about me but I know he loves me very very much. He wakes up early every morning to feed me and then we play with my favourite toy, Mousey.

I am very spoilt in the new home of mine. I have so so many toys I sometimes forget about them and get a great surprise when I find something under the TV cabinet. I also do not have to share them with all the big brothers but it is nice to have someone to play with. I have started training these humans. I have to take the mouse to them or run around like a mad animal sometimes, but they then understand that I want to play. Silly humans.

I have this awesome fluffy mouse that my Aunty Clair and Tracy got me for Christmas. It is on a stick and it is all very fun. I also have a Mr Cuddle buddy that I like to sleep with and chew on his tail as well as many more. They all live in this pretty pink box with all my pretty collars, brush, shampoo and vet papers. I know this is my box and I try to climb in to it on a regular basis just to check that mom and dad are not hiding cool toys from me.

I have all these pretty collars that mommy insists on changing ever few days. My favourite one is blue with pretty flowers. For charismas I got a red bandana from Aunty Clair and Tracy, as well as one with flowers on from my Granny and a pretty charm on it from Aunty Coleen.

These humans love taking me everywhere they go, which is cool, since I get to make a lot of furrends, but I am still getting used to the car drives. They make me feel a bit funny and it makes me meow a lot (This makes daddy all red in the face and looks like he is going to cry all the time).

Some of the adventures I have had are playing in the gardens at daddy’s work, meeting daddy’s wild family at Nanny and Pa’s house, and Christmas at Aunty Coleen. I love going to play at daddy’s office. He works in a big house with pretty gardens and the best part is that it is very close to home so it is a short drive. There are so many flowers, bushes, trees and lizards. My favourite is walking on the bricks and smelling the bushes and flowers. I have to wear my harness all the time otherwise mom carries me (which is lame). The other day I was there and I climbed a big tree! That was fun.

We have been to Nanny and Pa’s house a few times and they are so nice! I went the first time and the whole family was there to see me! They are a bit loud, but so much fun, the kids play with me a lot. (Easier to train you know). I got my Christmas pressie from Clair and Tracy that day and money for toys from nanny (I got Mr Cuddle buddy with it). They had such a big Christmas tree, I just lay under it and looked at all the decorations. Pa said I was the prettiest decoration and he wanted to keep me there (hehe).

The next time I went there I saw all the animals. First, I met Charmer the African Grey and Budgie. Charmer is a bit big for me so I just kept trying to push her away with my paw. Budgie looked very yummy (haha). Then, I met Dimer the dog, but she is very jumpy and wants to lick me all the time, (EEEUW!) I just growled at her and she disappeared… with dad. I got to play in the garden and it is much bigger than the office. I chased a frog and mommy had to help me climb the tree because it was much bigger than the one at the office. It was so much fun! There is this long thick branch that I can walk on and look down at the humans, like the way things should be. I also found this big cage outside with hundreds of small birdies in it but when I tried to pounce on them they all started making noise and I got a fright.

On Christmas day we when to Aunty Coleen’s house. That, was so much fun! Her house was big and open, the perfect track field. I could run laps round and round. I could hide in places and still see everyone. There was also this big balcony for me to look around at all the pretty views but mommy left my harness at home, so she had to hold me. We got to open pressies and I met a dog. Roxy is very nice for a dog. She is a Border Collie. When mommy took me to see her, she sat very still and let me go up to her and sniff her nose. She didn’t try and lick me or jump around at all.

My new parents took me to the vet. He said I was very good but stuck something up my bum without asking and gave me an injection on my neck. SO rude!

Even though going out on adventures are fun and all, I really like my new home. I have these yummy treats that mommy buys me that I can’t help but sit and eat all in one go. A beautiful hammock by the window that I love to sleep on and watch the outdoors, a fancy kitty water fountain to drink from, 2 scratch posts, curtains to climb, which make mommy mad, and of course, the best bench in the world with my own cushion to sit on out on a very nice balcony with lots of tree and birdies. I also love attacking feet and giving my humans a bath.

The few things I do not like are plastic bags; they make me run away, towels; they make me hiss and the noisy neighbours with crying kids; slamming doors and walking up & down all night.

My home is beautiful and the humans are kinda cool. I miss Bev, mommy and my brothers sometimes but mommy said we will go and visit sometime. I am a very happy cat. Please go and follow me on Instagram @ragtimeisabella as my life goal and New Year’s resolution is to try and get more followers than that Grumpy Cat.

That is all from me,

Isabella.
