Recently I have had a few people ask me why we have been so quiet and haven’t posted since February. To be honest, we’ve been very busy and I personally have had some health problems.

I decided to update you on what all has been happening in the past few months. I will do this over a post per month, so that is why this post is for March.

The first weekend of March kicked off the start to our new Cat Show Year with the very first show, held by the Transvaal Cat Society. As I am on an internship to become a cat judge one day, I had to take part, but stewarding only. “Stewarding” means you get paired up with a judge and you fetch the cats, you make sure their hands and tables are always clean and that the show runs on time and smoothly.

We also get assignments on the day that we need to do, and we need to write up a report on how our stewarding went, and anything we learnt while doing it. I was so lucky to get an amazing judge for the day and I had a great time. I am sorry I didnt get time to take many photos on the day to share with you.

The next weekend was probably the best part of my March! I was house sitting for a fellow Show Cat Exhibitor and Breeder. She had the most beautiful cats and 3 adorable little kittens for me to sleep over with for a few days.

Running around are 17 cats; Norwegian Forrest Cats and Maine Coons. Some of them are boys, outside in their runs, and in the bedroom is a mom with 3 little kittens of just 5 weeks old. It was a weekend of cuteness OVERLOAD!

I gave the kittens my own names for the weekend, based on their personalities, and as small as they are, they are so different.

They are already big and have gone on to their new homes, so here are some before and after photos:

This is Reds - The only girl, but such a lady and she loves to cuddle!

Mr Adventure Pants - On Sunday morning, he climbed right out of the kitten cage and onto the bed to come find me

Mr Spots - The playful soul who just wants someone to keep him company.

There were so many cats that stole my heart over the weekend. We can't even list them all, but you can find more photos below.

The next weekend was about getting my cat club’s show plans sorted, prizes, raffles, and decorations done. I totally went over board as it was my first show and it was so exciting! I wanted to make sure everyone went home feeling like a winner. So each cat got a handmade paper rosette, with their number on it, to hang on the cage. I have to thank the ladies at work for your amazing help. I could have never done it alone! I will post more information in Aprils post of how the show went.

The following weekend was Easter, which was spent eating too much food with family and having tons of good vibes. Isabella also started really enjoying iPad cat games, it is because she is big now, he he.

In between all of this, Ray and I were on a house hunt. Stay tuned to find out more in Aprils post.
