I am a complete bookworm! I love reading more than anything else. I love romance, sci-fi and of course, cat books!

Two years ago, my mom was booked into hospital over night for tests, so I went and got her some magazines and a book to keep her busy while she just lay there waiting. The book I got her was, " Chicken Soup for the Soul – What I learned from the cat". When she was done with it, she told me I had to read it, so I did. It was the most amazing book, ever. It really touched my heart with so many happy, funny, and teary moments while reading this. I didn’t want it to end... ever.

I couldn’t keep this amazing book to myself, I had to pass it on to someone who would love it just as much. A few months later, we were due to pick Isabella up, to bring her to her new home with us. There was no way I could ever thank Bev for what she has done by looking after this little furry child of ours, giving us the most precious gift ever. I knew she would be the one to pass this book on to next and she would love it as much as we all did.

Bev went through some heart breaking events in early 2015. She mentioned to me the one day, that the book was the one thing that helped her keep going on some days.

This book is full of life lessons that we need in our darkest hour to reminder us of how we should be living our lives and how to be the best you, without letting people and things get us down.

This book gets a full 4 paws up from us all.

I loved this book so much that I had to get my hands on another cat book, but they are so hard to find here in South Africa, so I landed up downloading the audio book from Audible; "Chicken Soup for the Soul – Stories of Feline Affection, Mystery and Charm".

This book was really great to sit and listen to each night, in bed. It is so inspiring what people will do for their furry children, and the amazing cats that are so filled with love and soul, that they can touch our lives so deeply.

I would really recommend these books to all cat lovers and people who are running shelters, breeding, fostering, or any kind of work involving cats. It is full of reminders of why we do the things we do, and why we live our lives to help these amazing animals sent from heaven.

This one gets 3 paws up from us.

There are so many more books on my "To Read" list, but it is really hard to find cat books here ,and I prefer actually books and not ebooks.

Here are some on my bookshelf at the moment:

"Casper the Commuting Cat" by Susan Finden – This looks really sweet, like one long stoy from Chicken Soup for the Soul

"Cat Sense" by John Bradshaw – This is a non-fiction book, more of a history and evolution of the cat.

Here are some on my wish list:

Chicken Soup for the Soul – My Cat’s Life

Chicken Soup for the Soul – I Cant Believe My Cat Did That

Chicken Soup for the Soul – The Cat Did What?

Chicken Soup for the Soul –Loving Our Cats

The Good The Bad and the Furry – Tom Cox

Under The Paw – Tom Cox

Talk To The Tail – Tom Coz

Close Encounters of the Furred Kind – Tom Cox
